Exploring Jupiter on Two Wheels

Bicycling can allow you to experience a destination in a richer way than if you’re confined to a car. And thanks to Jupiter’s wide bike lanes, it’s easy to pedal to many points of interest, straight from the hotel.

Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa makes exploring the city on two wheels easy with bike rentals. Here are a few of the best stops to orient a ride around – right from the doors of the hotel.

Work on Your Short Game at Lighthouse Cove Adventure Golf

Distance from Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa: 0.7 miles

With a just minutes-long commute from the resort, Lighthouse Cove Adventure Golf may hold particular appeal for families who want to get outside and be active with young riders who may not be up for a long trek. There are two 18-hole mini-golf courses – Paradise Falls and Lost Lagoon – and after you’re finished with your round, you can recharge with a burger, ice cream, or a drink.

Relax at the Beach at Coral Cove Park

Distance from Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa: 3.1 miles

Spend a morning at Coral Cove Park on Jupiter Island (the island itself is known for its bike-friendly tree-lined road). It’s a rocky, modestly-sized beach (though it is guarded) and perfect for shell hunting. There are also charcoal grills, a playground, restrooms, and an outdoor shower, so the whole crew will be comfortable.

Learn About Marinelife Loggerhead Marinelife Center

Distance from Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa: 3.8 miles

Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a quick ride down the coast and promises to be a special thrill for animal lovers. The center is known for promoting the conservation of ocean ecosystems but has a special focus on endangered sea turtles – and Juno Beach, the site of the LMC, is considered one of the most active nesting grounds in the world. Public guided tours are offered seven days per week, but you may want to check the calendar beforehand and plan accordingly.

Jetski at Beach Water Sports

Distance from Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa: 4.2 miles

Trade one method of transportation for another. Rent jet skis (the Waverunners fit up to three people comfortably) at Beach Water Sports, and explore Jupiter from a different vantage point while seeing all the natural and manmade beauty (views of the mansions, alone, are worth the price) the area has to offer.

Explore Trails at Riverbend Park

Distance from Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa: 8.1 miles

At just over eight miles away, Riverbend Park is a little more ambitious of a destination than other spots on this list, but the payoff is worth it. At 680 acres (and flush with ponds, birds, creeks, marshes, and wildlife) there’s plenty to see. Ten miles of easy, hard-packed trails make it a great spot for families and casual riders to explore.
