Check in starts at 4 p.m. and check out time is at 11 a.m.
The pool is open from dawn to dusk.
Coffee is available in each cottage via room service or at Latitudes. You can also grab a coffee at the ferry dock across the water at Gator Joe’s.
Sunset Key Cottages offers daily housekeeping service for all rooms. To request a specific time, please call the front desk or text us.
There are no laundry facilities on property. Laundry service is provided by Coastal Cleaners (Local Key West establishment). Drop off laundry before 7 a.m. for same-day service. Not available on weekends.
While there aren’t grocery stores on the island, we offer a grocery shopping service! Grocery orders can be emailed to [email protected]. We also have boxed lunches available for purchase for excursions, beach trips, and boat days.
We have a small gift shop located just behind the front desk.
The boat leaves Opal Key at the 15- and 45-minute mark of every hour from 6:45am to 10:45pm. It leaves Sunset Key’s dock on the hour and half hour (after 11 the boat runs by request).

Steps from your cottage, Sunset Key’s private beach invites you to unwind on powder-soft sand with nothing but sea breeze and sunshine for company. Enjoy the calm, shallow waters of the Gulf, or settle into a lounger with a good book and a chilled drink in hand.
Take your game to island time on Sunset Key’s private tennis courts. Whether you’re perfecting your serve or enjoying a friendly rally, the setting is as invigorating as the match. Complimentary equipment is available, so all you need to bring is your competitive spirit. For an extra fee, you can arrange lessons through our concierge.
Get your game on with a friendly match with family and friends after a day of fun. We offer volleyball, cornhole, and a basketball hoop for guest use.

Sunset Key Cottages is equipped with a state-of-the-art efficient fire emergency system that includes a sprinkler system and smoke detectors in guest rooms and hallways.
You should immediately evacuate if any of our detection systems sounds a warning, you have seen smoke or fire, or have been instructed to evacuate by hotel or fire department personnel. For more detailed information on fire emergencies, please refer to the Safety information outline on the inside of your guest room door.
