Activities
While it’s easy to fall in love in Belleview Inn, there are countless ways beyond our grounds to experience the area. From legendary beaches to unique shopping, the Clearwater area has something for everyone.

Belleair Country Club
As a guest of Belleview Inn, you’ll enjoy access to the members-only Belleair Country Club. Established in 1897, this historic club is Florida’s first golf course and boasts two 18-hole Donald Ross-designed courses. Each layout blends classic design with modern playability, weaving through palms and waterfront vistas for a round that’s as scenic as it is challenging. It’s more than a game – it’s a walk through golf history.

Pier 60
No visit to Clearwater Beach is complete without a stop at Pier 60, the vibrant heart of Clearwater Beach’s waterfront scene. By day, it’s a haven for anglers, casual strollers, and souvenir seekers, offering panoramic Gulf views and a lively promenade lined with shops and snack stands. As the sun begins to dip, local artisans and performers gather for the iconic Sunsets at Pier 60 festival, a nightly celebration of music, art, and golden hour magic. It’s the kind of experience that captures the spirit of Florida’s Gulf Coast in every sense.

Sports Events
From touchdowns to slap shots and home runs, the Tampa Bay area delivers nonstop excitement for sports fans. Catch the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium, feel the electric energy of a Tampa Bay Lightning hockey game at Amalie Arena, or enjoy America’s pastime with a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game at Tropicana Field. All three venues are within easy driving distance of Belleview Inn, making it simple to pair your stay with a thrilling day (or night) in the stands.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium
A working marine hospital that focuses on rescue and rehabilitation, this aquarium provides guests with a fun, family-friendly experience by teaching about sea creatures living in Clearwater. Guests of all ages can get up close with dolphins, sea turtles, otters, and other aquatic residents while learning about the vital conservation work being done behind the scenes. Interactive exhibits, educational programs, and inspiring rescue stories (including that of Winter the dolphin, star of Dolphin Tale) make this a meaningful, family-friendly outing just a short drive from Belleview Inn.

Sea Life Safari
Hop aboard for a two-hour eco-adventure along the sparkling Intracoastal Waterway, where dolphins, seabirds, and other Gulf Coast wildlife make regular appearances. Led by knowledgeable guides from Clearwater Marine Aquarium, the Sea Life Safari Cruise offers a narrated journey through local habitats en route to a secluded shell island. It’s an experience that blends sightseeing with marine education, ideal for families, nature lovers, and anyone eager to explore Florida’s coastal wonders from the water.

Little Toot
Climb aboard the Little Toot, a 40-foot tugboat known for creating the perfect playful wake that dolphins love to surf. This family-friendly sightseeing cruise offers an up-close look at bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat as you glide through the calm waters of Clearwater Harbor and out into the Gulf of Mexico. With expert narration from the crew and panoramic coastal views, it’s equal parts adventure and education – all wrapped in classic nautical charm.

Moccasin Lake Nature Park
Moccasin Lake Nature Park stands out among Clearwater area attractions for offering a different kind of natural escape. This 50-acre preserve is home to shaded walking trails, boardwalks over wetlands, and wildlife encounters with native species like turtles, raptors, and (of course) the park’s namesake, the elusive moccasin. Educational exhibits and live animal ambassadors make it especially appealing for families, but the tranquil setting and unexpected serenity also appeal to anyone craving a peaceful break from the beach crowds.

Florida Botanical Gardens
The Florida Botanical Gardens offers 100 acres of cultivated beauty and natural wonder. Meander through themed gardens filled with tropical blooms, native plants, and tranquil water features, or explore the winding trails that lead through lush wetlands and shaded hammocks. Admission is free, and there’s something blooming year-round – from orchids and bromeliads to roses and butterfly-attracting wildflowers – making it a lovely outing for plant lovers, photographers, or anyone looking for a quiet escape into nature.

Sand Key Park
For a quieter beach experience just south of Clearwater Beach, Sand Key Park offers a more laid-back stretch of sand with calm surf, gentle breezes, and fewer crowds. This barrier island park features spacious beaches, picnic areas, nature trails, and a salt marsh that serves as a haven for nesting seabirds and seasonal sea turtle sightings. With its easy parking, scenic views, and relaxed pace, it’s the kind of hidden-gem beach locals love.
