21st Annual Winter Wine Festival

The 2025 Winter Wine Festival’s roster is full of exceptional wines and personalities, presented in the luxury and comfort of the historic Wentworth by the Sea Hotel. This will be our 21st year bringing together the superb cuisine of the Wentworth’s culinary team with winery representatives and their premium wines from around the globe amid the polished hospitality of our service staff in this grand setting on a beautiful island, off the coast of New Hampshire.

From multi-course Grand Vintner’s Dinners to Big Tastings to Flight Nights to Bubbles & Jazz Brunches, the common thread running throughout is excellence. Join us for a month of celebrating these masters of their craft and the inspiration they bring us.

Vintner’s Dinner | Dry Creek Vineyards

Saturday, January 18th | Reception 6 pm | Dinner 7pm

Brian Pruett joined the team at Dry Creek Vineyard as Assistant Winemaker in 2017 and was promoted Winemaker in 2024. A native of northern California, Pruett’s passion for winemaking began with an agriculture class at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, leading him to earn a degree in Agricultural Business with a minor in Wine & Viticulture. His career kicked off with a challenging but thrilling harvest at Justin Vineyards, followed by two years of harvest work in California and New Zealand. Pruett later worked at Peachy Canyon Winery in Paso Robles as Assistant Winemaker and Director of Production, followed by at stint at Ledson Winery in Sonoma, where he honed his skills with small-lot winemaking from premier Sonoma and Napa vineyards.

Vintner’s Dinner | Jackson Family Wines

Saturday January 25th | Reception 6pm | Dinner 7pm

We’re thrilled to welcome back Randy Ullom, honored as Wine Enthusiast’s 2022 “American Wine Legend” and Sonoma County’s 2022 “Wine Icon.” A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ullom was first inspired by his father’s home winemaking hobby, but a three-year sabbatical from college spent in Chilean wine country sparked his true passion for the craft. After pursuing a degree in viticulture, he graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University in 1975. In 1993, he joined Jess Jackson to reopen Edmeades in Mendocino and launch Camelot Vineyards in Central California, later overseeing operations in Chile, Argentina, and Australia. Ullom became Kendall-Jackson’s Head Winemaker in 1997, was named COO in 2006, and now serves as SVP/Winemaster, overseeing winemaking operations with oversight of Chile.

Michael Sullivan, a passionate advocate for Banfi’s Italian wines, has been in the wine industry since 1985 and with Banfi Vintners for over a decade. He oversees Banfi’s U.S. market, representing its renowned Tuscan estate wines with an infectious enthusiasm. Known for his engaging personality, Sullivan frequently conducts wine tastings and events throughout New England. Castello Banfi, celebrated as the first winery in the world to be awarded international recognition for exceptional environmental, ethical and social responsibility (ISO 14001 and SA 8000) as well as an international leader in customer satisfaction (ISO 9001:2000), offers a distinguished lineup that includes the Brunellos, Super Tuscans like Summus and Cum Laude, and unique wines like the cru Rosa Regale.

Vintner’s Dinner | Orin Swift Cellars & Winery

Bill Figulski is a natural story teller and brings passion and creativity along with points of view on the globalization and the future of the wine world. He has been in the wine industry for the last 23 years and Orin Swift for the past 10. He has studied wine in France, Italy, Spain, and New Zealand, and, in 2019, he became a Certified Sommelier. Whether you just want to sit back and enjoy delicious wines with friends, or you are interested in expanding your wine knowledge, this event will be perfect for you.
