Location
Opal Sands is a full-service waterfront resort within easy walking distance of the Clearwater Beach Walk’s shops and restaurants, with access to the white sand of Clearwater Beach. Our Florida resort consists of an on-site full-service spa, zero entry pool and sundeck, two restaurants, and 230 guestrooms. We’re also conveniently located one mile from our sister property, the Sandpearl Resort!
We offer a variety of water view room and suite options for your unique travel needs, including one- and two-bedroom accommodations.
Our hotel is conveniently located on Clearwater Beach and a short walk away from the beachfront shopping and dining of the Clearwater Beach Walk.
St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) is about 15 miles from the resort and Tampa International Airport (TPA) is 23 miles from the resort. While this hotel doesn’t provide an airport shuttle, our concierge will be happy to organize transportation for you!

There are so many things to do at Opal Sands Resort! In addition to our on-zero edge pool, cornhole, and complimentary bike rentals, local attractions like the Clearwater Beach Aquarium and Baseball Spring Training are just moments away.
No, you do not need to reserve a chair by our pool. Pool chairs at our Clearwater Beach resort are first come, first serve. Poolside cabanas are also available for rent. Please note that the pool is for hotel guests only.
Yes, we offer dry cleaning services Monday through Saturday at Opal Sands.

Reservations
Yes, there’s a $30 extra person fee per person, per night after the second adult.

Opal Sand Resort’s cancellation policy varies based on stay date and rate type (for instance an Advance Purchase rate has a stricter cancellation policy than most rates). Our deposit and standard cancellation policies are listed here.
Check into our Clearwater Beach resort is at 4pm and check out is at 11am.
Our resort does not offer rollaways, however we do have cribs, high chairs, and booster seats available upon request.
Our pet-friendly Florida resort welcomes well-mannered dogs. Our pet fee is $100 per night, per dog. For more information on our dog policy please click here.
OPAL gift cards and amenities are available via the links in our footer. Please contact the reservations department at least 24 hours prior to arrival to pay for all or part of a guest’s stay. Our staff will be happy to send you a Sertifi link so that you can submit your payment information securely and electronically.
