Opal Key Resort and Marina is located on the waterfront of Old Town Key West, one block from Duval Street and steps away from Mallory Square. The resort consists of the Main and Marina buildings. The bulk of our rooms and suites (located on either side of the pool), Bistro 245 (which overlooks the water towards Sunset Key), and the fitness center (by the main entrance) are in the Main Building. The Marina Building, which is steps away to from the Main Building, contains guest accommodations as well as meeting rooms. Parking is attached to the Marina Building on the Old Town side.


We offer Pool, Partial Ocean, Ocean Front, and Marina View accommodations with balconies and patios. Standard View rooms look towards the city of Key West and the property, Pool View rooms overlook the pool (which is in the center of the Main Building), and Marina View Rooms overlook the North Basin Marina towards the South.


Key West International Airport is about 3 miles away. Covered parking is available at Opal Key for a fee.


The hotel does not have a shuttle service, however, bell staff is happy to schedule a taxi for you at any time. We find ride share apps are the easiest way to get around the island.

The boat leaves Opal Key at the 15 and 45 minute mark of every hour from 6:45am to 10:45pm. It departs Sunset Key’s dock on the hour and half hour (after 11 the boat runs by request). Please note that dining reservations are required at Latitudes.

Opal Key’s cancellation policy varies based on stay date and rate type (for instance an Advance Purchase rate has a stricter cancellation policy than most rates). Our deposit and standard cancellation policies are listed here.


Check into our Key West hotel is at 4pm and check out is at 11am.


Opal Key offers complimentary rollaways in accommodations with king beds. Cribs are also available based on availability!

Please contact the front desk or our reservations department at least 24 hours prior to arrival to send an amenity to a guest’s room or pay for all or part of their stay.
