Getting Here & Transportation
Lake Placid Lodge is easily accessible by car and is located about five hours from New York City, two hours from Burlington, Vermont, and two and a half hours from Albany. The lodge’s lakeside setting makes it a convenient base for exploring Lake Placid and the surrounding Adirondack Mountains. The closest airport is Adirondack Regional Airport (SLK) in Saranac Lake, about a 30-minute drive from the lodge.

Most accommodations at Lake Placid Lodge feature a signature wood-burning fireplace, one of the lodge’s most beloved amenities. Because each room is unique, we recommend reviewing individual room descriptions or contacting the lodge to confirm specific features before booking.
Many Lodge Rooms, Suites, Cabins, and Guest Houses offer beautiful views of Lake Placid. If a lake view is important to your stay, look for accommodations specifically designated as lakefront or lake view, or contact the reservations team for personalized recommendations.

Cribs are available upon request for select accommodations. Rollaway beds are not available. We recommend contacting the lodge before your stay to discuss your family’s specific needs.

The concierge is also happy to recommend nearby spas and wellness services in the Lake Placid area to help guests relax and unwind during their stay.
Lake Placid Lodge does not have an on-site fitness center. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the area’s natural beauty through hiking, paddling, skiing, snowshoeing, and other outdoor activities available throughout the year. We also work with a local gym, Fitness Revolution, located approximately 2 minutes from Lake Placid Lodge. Passes are complimentary for our guests (just ask the front desk after arrival).
