Skiing

Just half an hour away, West Mountain offers family-friendly fun with 30 trails, night skiing, and lessons for skiers of all ages. For a more adventurous experience, Gore Mountain, less than an hour from the resort, boasts over 110 trails spanning four peaks, along with Nordic skiing and snowshoeing options. For those looking for an alternative to the slopes, Crandall Park in Glens Falls is perfect for winter recreation. Just a short drive from the resort, the park features groomed cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails, as well as an ice-skating pond that’s great for families.

Experience our legendary Glacier Ice Bar & Lounge, a sub-zero cocktail experience carved out of 50,000 pounds of ice along the waterfront. Guests can explore a lakeside winter wonderland, featuring spectacular ice sculptures and themed cocktails. There will also be cozy private Igloos and a chili chowder lounge for warming up in between time spent at the bar. Overnight hotel guests enjoy automatic entry to the ice bar. Experience the slopes in a whole new way at West Mountain. The tubing park features 10 expertly groomed lanes that range from 700 to 1,000 feet in length, as well as a magic carpet lift that conveniently transports you back to the top after each run, allowing for maximum thrills with minimal effort. Evening tubing is also available, where the park lights up, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. The park is located adjacent to West Mountain’s Base Lodge, where you can warm up and grab snacks or hot drinks between runs.

Visit the famous Lake George Winter Carnival, a beloved tradition held every weekend in February, and watch the village transform into a hub of winter fun and festivities. This family-friendly event features an exciting lineup of activities including chowder, chili, barbecue cook-offs, polar plunges, fireworks, and much more.
