COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SAGAMORE


Location

The Sagamore Resort is located on a private 70-acre island on Lake George in Bolton Landing, New York connected to the town of Bolton by a quaint bridge. This Adirondack hotel consists of the main historic hotel, spa, and pools (one outdoor and one indoor) on the southern corner of the island; 6 separate lodges along the southeast coast; a 7th lodge on the northwest of the island; and the conference center, hermitage suites, and various sport courts towards the middle.

Traditional hotel rooms and suites, governor rooms and suites, and hotel rooms are located in the main historic hotel. Premium lodge rooms and suites are located in lodges 1, 2 and 3, which are a short walk away from the main historic hotel while lodge rooms and suites are in lodge buildings 4, 5, 6, and 7.

Rooms in the historic main hotel are the closest to the pool. Lodges 4, 5, 6, and 7 are the farthest away.

The Sagamore Golf Club is about a 7-minute shuttle ride from the hotel, off of the island in Bolton Landing.

The Floyd Bennet Memorial Airport (GFL) is about 39 minutes away and Albany International Airport (ALB) is about an hour away from our Lake George resort.

Self and valet parking are included in the resort fee for all overnight guests. We also have ten electrical charging stations, where you can plug in and use a credit card to purchase power, located in the conference lot and lot 1.

 

A parking fee is assessed to all resort and restaurant visitors. Overnight guests, condo owners, members, and special event attendees are not charged. The parking fee schedule is as follows:

  • Memorial Day – Columbus Day: $20
  • Day after Columbus Day – Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend: $10

 

If at any time transportation assistance is required, simply contact Consider It Done by dialing “0” on your room’s phone and we will be happy to assist you. The shuttle runs to the golf course, club grill, and the village of Bolton Landing.

Airport pickups are available with 48-hour notice. Fees for this transportation are based on the number of passengers and location of pick up.

Yes, we have 5-10 boat slips available for hotel guests! Please call 518.743.6226 us to reserve a slip in advance. We also have trailer parking at the golf course. For non-guests, public dock space is available at Roger’s Beach in Bolton (please note that we do not offer shuttle service to Roger’s Beach).

Advanced appointments at our luxurious Lake George spa are necessary to secure your preferred time. Please call 518.743.6081 to make a reservation!

The golf course at the Sagamore Resort is open to non-guests. Click here to book a tee time at our Lake George golf course.

Please note that restaurant availability varies. In high season all non-guests must have a dinner reservation. Lunch access is limited and in high season may not be available.

The Sagamore is the ideal resort for your next family vacation on Lake George. Whether you’re looking for indoor rock climbing, mini golf, a game of Nintendo, or volleyball, the Rec Center has you covered. Looking to venture off site? Take a boat trip on the Morgan or ride a two-seater pedal bike along retired railroad tracks through the picturesque Adirondacks. In the summer, end the day with some family s’mores at our nightly bonfire!

While we don’t offer washers and dryers for guest use, same-day wash dry fold service is available (items delivered by 8 am will be returned by 4:30 pm) for a fee.

Fitness

We have a full gym, complete with free weights, Peloton® bikes, and treadmills. Looking for a more individual work out? The Sagamore Resort offers private yoga and hikes!

Private tennis lessons are available from May through October at our Lake George luxury resort. Please contact the Rec to make reservations. Golf lessons are also available at the Golf Course at the Sagamore Resort.

Pickleball, horseshoes, and boats – oh my! With multiple tennis courts, outdoor pickle ball courts, a basketball court and family fun at the Rec Center, there’s no shortage of things to do at the Sagamore on Lake George. Or experience Lake George from the water! Take off on the Morgan, a replica of a 19th-century touring vessel, for an evening wine tour or daytime cruise.

Reservations

Yes, there’s an extra person charge of $30 per night per person per room after the 2nd guest aged 13 or older.

Our reservations department would be happy to assist you with your room reservation at our upstate New York resort. Guests can also access their existing reservations online.

For restaurant reservations at the Sagamore, please give the front desk or restaurant a call!

Check in starts at 4pm and check out time is at 11am.

Rollaways are not permitted at the Sagamore, but pack and plays and cribs are available upon request.

The Sagamore Resort welcomes well-mannered dogs 30 lbs. or less in our lodge rooms and suites, condominiums, and First House. Guests bringing dogs will be charged $100 per night, per dog (maximum of two dogs per room). Click here to see our full pet policy.

Please contact the front desk or our reservations department at least 24 hours prior to arrival to send an amenity to a guest’s room or pay for all or part of their stay. Our staff will be happy to send you a secure link to submit your payment information electronically.
