About the Resort
The Sagamore Resort is located in Bolton Landing, New York, on a private 70-acre island on Lake George in the Adirondacks. The resort is connected to the mainland by a scenic causeway, offering a secluded waterfront setting that is still easily accessible by car.

Our Bolton Landing resort is expansive, with accommodations and amenities spread throughout the property, so guests should expect some walking. Some restaurants and activities are seasonal, and advance reservations are recommended during peak travel periods.
Getting Here & Transportation
The resort is connected to the mainland by road, so no ferry or boat transportation is required. Guests can drive directly to the resort via a private causeway connecting the island to Bolton Landing on the mainland.
The Floyd Bennet Memorial Airport (GFL) is about 39 minutes away and Albany International Airport (ALB) is about an hour away from our Lake George resort.
Yes, self and valet parking are available for all overnight guests and included in the resort fee. The resort has ten electrical charging stations, where you can plug in and use a credit card to purchase power, located in the conference lot and lot 1.
A parking fee is assessed to all resort and restaurant visitors. Overnight guests, condo owners, members, and special event attendees are not charged. The parking fee schedule is as follows:
- Memorial Day – Columbus Day: $20
- Day after Columbus Day – Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend: $10
Yes, but the property is large and spread out. Some accommodations may require a short walk to dining, pools, or activities.
If at any time transportation assistance is required, simply contact Consider It Done by dialing “0” on your room’s phone and we will be happy to assist you. The shuttle runs to the golf course, club grill, and the village of Bolton Landing.
Airport pickups are available with 48-hour notice. Fees for this transportation are based on the number of passengers and location of pick up.
Accommodations
The resort offers Main Hotel rooms and suites, Lodge Suites, condos, and specialty accommodations designed for couples, families, and groups.
- Main Hotel rooms are centrally located near the lobby and restaurants
- Lodge Suites offer larger residential-style accommodations
- Condos provide additional space, privacy, and multi-bedroom layouts ideal for longer stays or families
Families often prefer Lodge Suites or condos because of their larger layouts and additional living space. For families staying longer, we recommend our Houses of Green Island, houses and cottages perfect for a family vacation with the privacy of a rental home and the amenities of a resort.
Yes. Many accommodations feature views of Lake George, though not all rooms are lake-facing. Guests should book a lake view or lakefront room category to guarantee those views.
The resort continually updates accommodations and public spaces, though room styles and finishes may vary depending on building and room category.
Some suites, lodges, and condos include balconies, patios, kitchenettes, or full kitchens. Amenities vary by accommodation type.
Our Houses of Green Island are standalone accommodations with full kitchens and private outdoor space, ideal for longer stays in the Adirondacks.
Yes. Cribs and pack and plays are available upon request, subject to availability. Rollaways are not available.
Main Hotel accommodations are closest to the lobby, restaurants, pools, and central resort amenities.
Traditional hotel rooms and suites, governor rooms and suites, and hotel rooms are located in the main historic hotel. Premium lodge rooms and suites are located in lodges 1, 2 and 3, which are a short walk away from the main historic hotel while lodge rooms and suites are in lodge buildings 4, 5, 6, and 7.
Amenities & Activities
Guests can enjoy pools, beach access, water sports, golf, tennis, pickleball, seasonal activities, and family-friendly programming. Private tennis lessons are available from May through October at our Lake George luxury resort. Golf lessons are also available at the Golf Course at the Sagamore Resort.

Yes. Select accommodations are pet-friendly. The Sagamore Resort welcomes well-mannered dogs in our lodge rooms and suites, condominiums, and First House. Guests bringing dogs will be charged $100 per night, per dog (maximum of two dogs per room). Click here to see our full pet policy.
