Let Lake Placid Lodge provide the perfect setting for your big day.

In the heart of the six-million-acre forested wilderness of the Adirondacks, Lake Placid Lodge seems as if it was designed with couples in mind. That’s because the sprawling and private retreat hand-built in the Arts and Crafts Great Camp tradition naturally fuels romance. Here, cell phones are an afterthought, and the “bird-nest” beds custom-built by a local artisans and fireplaces in every room invite lazy mornings together. All these details also make the property the ultimate wedding venue, where nearly anything is possible. Say “I Do” before the 4,800-foot Whiteface Mountain in the distance, then bring your family and friends together for an evening celebrating on the lake’s edge.

Our seasoned team honors Adirondack culinary traditions while providing guests with a memorable, farm-to-table dining experience.

Winter Weddings

Because Lake Placid was the site for not one, but two Winter Olympics (once in 1932 and again in 1980), this location comes even more alive during what is considered an off-season for most venues. With its rich holiday-themed decorations, Lake Placid Lodge is no exception, where weddings transform into winter wonderlands.

Other Ways to Say “I Do”

Lake Placid Lodge offers an idyllic backdrop for intimate weddings, vow renewals, and elopements for a day that’s truly about the two of you. Or, if a larger gathering is what you seek, book the lodge in its entirety to turn Lake Placid Lodge’s 30 rooms and public spaces into a personal playground for your closest friends and family.

“My daughter got married in July 2019 at Lake Placid Lodge. We all fell in love with the venue the day we saw it. Eden showed us around the property and it was magical. The wedding weekend was a beautiful weekend of love starting with the rehearsal dinner in the wine cellar, a bbq on Friday night and the wedding on the lawn on Saturday. Sunday we all had a delicious brunch. Everyone at the lodge went out of their way and over the top to make to make everything perfect. Thank you Eden and all the staff for a memorable event.”
